MARC JACOBS BEAUTY COCONUT FANTASY COLLECTION FOR SUMMER 2018

The Marc Jacobs Beauty summer collection is all about that rose gold realness with some new makeup products as well as old favorites. Expanding upon the Marc Jacobs Beauty Coconut Collection with the limited-edition collection Coconut Fantasy, this collection has a new eyeshadow palette, new gel highlighter, and a setting powder (in addition to the bronzer which is a repromote).

MARC JACOBS BEAUTY COCONUT FANTASY COLLECTION (PASS)

The matte O!Mega Bronzer Coconut Perfect Tan compact is a giant bronzer, infused with a coconut scent. It’s not really deep skin friendly, so it’s a hard pass for me. If you’re fair to tan skin, you will love this as evidence by the fact that it’s sold out everywhere. Your best bet would be to check stores for this.

Something I practically ran to Sephora to get was the Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eye Shadow Palette ($49) in Fantascene. Marc Jacobs Beauty has greatly improved their eyeshadow formulas since they first started; and the Eye-Conic palettes are some of my favorites. This is the most cohesive palette they’ve released to date and is absolutely divine.

It features seven cream, peach, coral, warm copper and chocolate shades in a variety of finishes (matte, satin, and metallic). They blend beautifully, are pretty pigmented, and last a long time.

Another standout hit in the collection is the new shade of the Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter (Fantasy). This is more of a rose gold glow ($44) whereas the first one is more of a golden peach. It’s a gel-cream illuminatormade with five forms of coconut and provitamin B5 to hydrate and nourish the skin as it highlights.

I love mixing this with my foundation for the most perfect lit-from-within glow. I also apply it on the top of my cheekbones with a beauty blender, if I want a bit more glow. For an out of this world highlight, I like to apply this first then layer a powder highlight (like this) on top.

Hella lit.

The final product is the Finish Line Perfecting Coconut Setting Powder ($44) uses coconut and cocoa butter, for a soft creamy finish rather than a dry, chalky one. I love this powder. It’s super lightweight, doesn’t settle into any of my lines under my eyes, and doesn’t feel dry. Some powders make my under eye area look crepe-y — not this one! It blurs the look of pores and keeps my makeup in place. I recommend applying with a brush, versus a beauty blender. I do not do any heavy duty baking with this. Just lightly dust underneath the eyes, and if I do let it sit under there, it’s only for about 20-30 seconds MAX.

The collection is out now for a limited time at SephoraBergdorf Goodman, and Neiman Marcus.
